I took myself on a little adventure today, one i've been wanting to do for the longest time. I took up a sewing class with @sartorialstitches and learnt to sew a skirt for #lilladyboss . . It was honestly lots of fun! My new classmates, Jamie & Inez, were such a fun bunch ladies to have around. Of course I was the class clown (old habits are hard to beat) . . I can't quite explain the thrill and sense of achievement from successfully handmaking a skirt. I nearly went on a whim to buy lots more materials, lug a huge sewing machine home and start sewing more skirts for #avarosetl . . But don't worry. I didn't. I behaved myself, and now am hoping Santa leaves a big sewing machine for me under the Christmas tree! (*hint hint* : maybe before Christmas so I could sew AR a dress for Christmas perhaps?) 🤞🏼 (Try luck) . . But oh my mama heart... When AR put on the skirt and said "Mama, this is beautiful! I love it.. Thank you!!" There was this pride, this beaming joy.. I made something she loves. Oh be still heart. Don't get too excited. Pray that Santa reads your wish list now. . . Special shoutout to sifu Barbara for being so patient and guiding me on this project. Couldn't have done it without you. (If any of you are looking for sewing lessons, I highly recommend Barbara.
