okay, that explains a lot of what I was originally wondering. Louis wouldn't necessarily have to have been at Funkhaus Berlin to have just some parts of Palaces recorded there. it doesn't mean he wasn't there, just that it's not a 100% proof that he was.
nowadays parts of a song (non-Louis-vocal) can just get recorded in whatever studio (like here there were 2 in England [London and near Brackley], 1 in Berlin, Germany and 1 in Los Angeles, USA -- all for ONE song) and then sent and mixed and mastered by people wherever they are in the world, etc. meaning Louis could've recorded the vocals at either of those 4 listed studios. And he could've been in just 1 of those 4 studios, or just 2 or 3 or all of them. I don't think we know unless there's pictures or videos.
Meanwhile Looks Like Lucy was recorded at only 1 England studio, Angelic Residential Studios near Brackley, which means Louis was 100% there.
