Wulian week day 7: Flustered, Remember, Altar, One Bed
TGCF SPECIAL FILM EP 4 FULL PREVIEW IS OUT AHHHH
“Don’t you wanna know what I think about it?” 😭😭😭 CONFESSION SCENE I NEED
we got the trailer for the fourth short film. the confession scene is coming 😭
Fafa's murals are so beautiful.
Hua Cheng was so ready to be rejected here, I can't 😭 I absolutely love how devestated and resigned his eye is. He really expects Xie Lian to be repulsed by him :((
This is expression is just... OUGH. I need it framed.
But Xie Lian is just filled with sheer joy at the fact that it's Hua Cheng who loves him. He loves him, he loves him, he loves him. He's so soft and happy and knowing.
Idk who needs to hear this but the Ten Thousands Gods cave scene is very romantic and anyone who says otherwise needs to rethink
I love every version of Hualian but Wulian specifically is so… agh!! It’s arguably the most critical era in their relationship in retrospect because even by the time they’ve kissed on multiple occasions and confessed to each other and so on, the thing that still makes Xie Lian hesitate and holds him back from fully accepting Hua Cheng’s love without any doubt or fear in his heart is his belief that Hua Cheng has not seen him at his lowest low and might not be able to love him if he had — so the revelation that actually, Hua Cheng was the one who stayed by his side and did keep loving him even at the point Xie Lian considered himself most undeserving of love is the final piece that needs to fall into place. And it does! When we meet him in the story, Xie Lian has already endured so much hardship and experienced so many transient relationships that one of his core beliefs about himself and the world is the idea that people will always leave him once they realize he’s not this untainted beacon of light that they want him to be, and the reveal of Wu Ming’s unconditional devotion refutes this belief instantaneously.
I understand it's easy and efficient to shorten danmei names to their initials while talking about them but also certain initials already have set meanings in my head so I'll read a post about, say, hualian and go "ah yes, my favourite couple: Extra Large and Headcanon
