I appreciate the little nods TWD does to culture even if it’s not explicit. Specifcally, Sasha’s character being like “I had a dream,” and Abraham instantly knowing what’s up.

That’s such a Black woman thing to be like “I had a dream.” And they’re usually right. Black women have to have good intuition to protect their loved ones, so they do.

Literally so many stories in my family of mothers, including my own, being like, “nah I don’t feel right about this, we’re not going.” Then they find out later that the function they were gonna go to got shot up or something. And you don’t know what gave them that inclination. Maybe God… Shit like that makes me believe in God.

Anyways, Saha’s character being like “I had a dream,” made me feel seen in a nice way. Like yeah I’m sure you did girl, ancestors were speaking real loud, huh?
