I think the craziest thing about my playthrough of Paranormasight: The Mermaid's Curse is just how oddly accurate my predictions turned out being.

Needless to say, the following contains spoilers:

I think MCs mom was a victim of the fish curse and the raging sea curse.

I think she got taken out before she got the chance to do anything. ✅✅✅

I think she (and many others it seems) arrived with "Tamatebako" and made the mistake of opening the box, causing the curse of the raging sea waves. I think that must be the mysterious boxes people came to the island with and guarded with their lives.

And I think this will be disproven as a theory but I think it's what the town population thinks happened with mcs mom.

I think little girl and man Vs old lady and guy are almost fighting the same cause but perhaps don't know yet. ✅✅✅

I think awao will get rejected and sato get asked out. I think that could fuel rivalry.✅✅✅✅✅✅✅

I think shotaro knows more than he let's on. ❌❌❌

I think he doesn't care much about his dad and is infuriated by his stupidity. ✅✅✅

So sato got slashed, but because she's Yao Bikuni and therefore mermaid, she healed up fast. So the curse was ineffective on her.✅✅✅

How did tsukasa awao escape getting targeted when she's an ama diver but sato managed to?

So it wasn't all women perhaps, but all witnesses with knowledge, or people who could've/would've seen the killer?❌❌❌

I guess we are going to go on an accidental killing spree shortly.❓❓❓ Sorta...

So Circe has shikigami powers, and at the start we see her with a butterfly in hand.. something to ponder ig.✅✅✅

So perhaps with Taira being the first samurai into the imperial court, then the curse might be Taira's curse? Ah no, Nukemaru curse

So OSATO was at a village gathering (Kusawa Village) and the "flesh of a mermaid" was served, with other villagers deciding not to eat it, OSATO accidentally ate the food and became immortal, then got shunned and went on a pilgrimage for years before returning to the village to die.❓❓❓

Seems like the above was a story to mask the truth of the event.

Kippei Ikoma- I think he is an immortal 800 year old dumping bones over the years in that same spot after coming into contact with someone who can kill with the curse connected to the Heike.

"Once cursed, the individuals own body is lost, and a provisional body is reconstructed using the parts of the mermaid ingested as a medium."

"In the event they lose any body parts, their heart will treat the largest remaining part of them as their main body and regenerate any lost parts from there, even if it's the head."

By the logic in that file, I suspect the following characters could be a 800-year immortal:

Sato: her connections in the cutscenes to Yao Bikuni and the fact her injuries healed. ✅✅✅

Yuza: he had his head chopped off and one of the options at the start, as well as his tomokazuki segment and his memory of the accident suggests to me he might not know he is an immortal. ✅✅✅

Kippei Ikoma: see reasons outlined above. He's also the first to come out with the specific mermaid names. ✅✅✅

Mare Minakuchi: see the segment where she is alive and well despite being reported dying in the accident, then getting cursed by the fish curse? Hmm (Somekawa) - ❌❌❌ turns out she had a sister.

Some other people on my suspicious list:

Yumeko: idk she those hickeys look like fish scales lol. Also she knows a lot abt mermaids ig. ❓❓❓ Not quite. She's mortal but used to be mermaid.

Circe Lunarlight: same as above, but for the fact she seems to address us on occasion.

Kikuko: why was she there at the scene of the crime? ✅✅✅ EXACTLY WHY WAS SHE THERE!!! Correct !!

Turns out he's just an asshole in other ways.

Yoshiatsu: for obvious reasons.

The descendant of the one that survived Taishima sinking 400 years ago is said to be not a very friendly sort, "frankly, I even have trouble getting her to open up, no matter how many times I visit her, I always feel like I am only getting part of the story"

Two suspects on that account:

Tsuyu Minakuchi. She never wanted to open up, even until her last breath. ❌❌❌

Chie. She was not friendly, and not all too open either. But, that was only to Yuza.

"SEARCH THE 95TH" ik I saw the number 95 in the files so I'm gonna look..

That's the writing on the map, with the symbol I saw whilst diving, the symbol I unchained. Near the big hole I almost got pulled into... I'm sure that'll have nothing to do with the plot later....

The "95th" episode of the Tales of Ise is titled "Hikoboshi", which is notably one of the stars in the summer triangle constellation- under Altair- as it's to do with the Tanabata legend.

If we plotted or overlayed the constellation of the Summer Triangle onto the map, this would, surely, triangulate an area, like a Bermuda Triangle almost, and lead to whatever "treasure" this may be.

I believe that kippei is a curse bearer/has a curse stone, and may be about to curse us.❓❓❓

We (avi) have one of the curse stones now, and it stands to reason that all others with the wooden box upon their arrival to kameshita also are curse bearers. ❓❓❓

I believe Osato, aka Yao Bikuni, may also be Princess Hatsune, or a descendant of her. The sacrificial act seems all too familiar, and perhaps her sacrifice with yoshiatsu will jog her memory. Perhaps thats why she became a 800 yr mermaid, to outlive the 400yr seal and then offer herself as a sacrifice again.✅✅✅ She certainly was a sacrifice all those years ago. Not willingly, though.

So. Yuza is the "only" other 800 yr old immortal. It makes sense, with him being the MC. Funny though, if he hadnt have died at the start that would've put a spanner in the works. I figured as much with the whole beheading thing.

Still. I was convinced for a second it was Kippei because of how suspicious he acted and the fact his bones were discovered at the bottom of the ocean from 6 years ago?? ✅✅✅✅✅✅

That means Yuza is only 5 years into being an immortal. He seems nonthewiser.

Could Mare have forced him to eat mermaid flesh.. or.. WAIT!!!

Either way, it cursed Yuza. But did keep him alive. Perhaps to fulfil breaking the curse?

It seems kikuko and the threatening guy over the phone seem unaware of Yuza being an immortal.

One thing that's bugging me.. if I've seen Yuza die 3 times now, then surely Ayase or whatever his name is would've witnessed Yuza die and then revive... Or at least have to perform CPR ?? Surely it wasn't as quick as it seemed? ✅✅✅✅✅

The fact that kippei died by the sword curse means that he had a mirror or something else flagging him at the time of his death... Which was... 6 years ago... Somehow... Time is getting confusing.

Regarding the curse of forsaken fish. We know Avi found it in a boat randomly, and we know Avi got pressured into using it on Azusa by Azusa who began to commit suicide by drowning herself.

We know that the victim before Azusa was Tamiko Suma- someone Kippei had sent out to survey the waters (?)

But we know nothing of Tamiko, and the other person that sailed with them. Lol

Who has kikuko killed with her curse stone? Was it really her alone??? ✅✅✅✅
