Gruyere and Egg Burgers are a mouthwatering combination of juicy beef patties, rich Gruyere cheese, a perfectly fried egg, and a tangy sauce. These burgers are sure to satisfy your cravings.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 4 burger buns. 4 slices Gruyere cheese. 4 large eggs. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 1/4 cup ketchup. 1/4 cup sliced pickles. 1/4 cup sliced red onions. 4 lettuce leaves. 4 tomato slices. Salt and pepper to taste. Vegetable oil for cooking.
Instructions: Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle over medium-high heat. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Place the burger patties on the hot grill or griddle and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer for your desired level of doneness. During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of Gruyere cheese to each patty to melt. While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster. In a small saucepan, heat some vegetable oil over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the pan and cook them to your desired level of doneness. Season with salt and pepper. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and ketchup to make a sauce. To assemble the burgers, spread the sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, a Gruyere-topped burger patty, a fried egg, sliced pickles, and sliced red onions on top. Top with the other half of the bun and serve hot. Enjoy your delicious Gruyere and Egg Burgers!
