Indulge in the rich and savory flavors of Sausage Mushroom Pizza with a homemade yeast dough crust. This classic pizza is loaded with delicious toppings and perfect for pizza night with family and friends.
Ingredients: 1 pizza dough homemade or store-bought. 1/2 cup pizza sauce. 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese. 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms. 1/2 cup cooked sausage, crumbled. 1/4 cup sliced black olives. 1/4 cup sliced red onions. 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano. 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional. Salt and pepper to taste. Olive oil for brushing.
Instructions: Set your oven to 475F 245C before you start cooking. On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to the thickness you want. Place the dough on a pizza stone or a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper. To keep the dough from getting too wet, brush it with olive oil. Spread pizza sauce out evenly on the dough, but leave a little space around the edges for the crust. Put half of the mozzarella cheese shreds on top of the sauce. On top of the cheese, spread out the sliced mushrooms, crumbled sausage, black olives, and red onions evenly. Add the rest of the mozzarella cheese on top of the toppings. Add dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes if you like. Place the pizza in an oven that has already been heated up. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and a little browned. Let the pizza cool down for a few minutes after taking it out of the oven before cutting it. Enjoy your home-made Sausage Mushroom Pizza while it's still hot!
