2002 PSA - Banned Books
I made a gif button to raise awareness of the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
Download it, share it, put it on your site, link it to info about IMLS and ways to help museums and libraries.

“Susan, listen to us!!”
Last Monday, our Scottish trans youth held a silent read-in at Glasgow City Chambers, finishing the day off with some placard-making. We demanded that Susan Aitken and Glasgow Council stop ignoring our pleas to retain school libraries and safe spaces, and TKDB Scotland are now in correspondence with Susan’s office.
Thank you to everyone who came down to support :)

*More Immediate Library Funds
Here it is. Republicans have been so successful at gutting school libraries that they are now ready to attack public libraries from the highest levels of government. State money is typically not a library system’s entire budget depending on how they are funded, but this is a significant attack on this institution. (As an aside, I used to live in Missouri and the public library where I lived was ALSO THE POLLING LOCATION FOR THE WHOLE TOWN.)
Save our libraries.
Republicans are retaliating against a librarians’ organization for suing the state over a law on book banning.
