Listen/purchase: Particle Count by Various Artists
Particle Count is a collection of archival recordings of spaces affected by 2020′s massive western wildfires. Proceeds are going to Latino Community Fund's Norcal Wildfire Relief Fund, Direct Relief's Wildfire funds, and GoFundMe's Wildfire Relief Fund.
A favorite recording of mine from Forde Lake in Sinlahekin Valley has been included. It was April, 2019, on a cold dawn, but the bird life was active and excited.
While Forde Lake was unaffected, the fast-blazing Palmer Fire devastated much of the northern portion of the Valley, just a few miles away.
