I was raised by two brilliant parents who always told me to follow my dreams, find something you really love so you won't mind working relentlessly at it! I'm a wildlife addict, that focuses on sharks! Although I love all animals! My addiction is unstoppable! Sadly, I've learned about how are species is killing our wildlife needlessly! We're headed for the 6th extinction, this one caused by man! All I do, is everything within my power to try to save what few animals we still have! Roseate Spoonbill taking off after feeding. One of Floridas most colorful birds! The beautiful birds were very common in the south east until 1860's when they were nearly eliminated by plume collectors, mostly for hats. In 2017 the percentage of Glyphosate in Florida was increased by 250% in combination with 25% increase in gallons used, to nearly 1 million gallons. This increase combined with the 4 decades of phosphorus and nitrogen loading in the bottom of the lakes in the form of decomposed plants, essentially mud, from herbicide aquatic plant management, I believe was the cause of the Red Tide/blue green algae environmental disaster causing biblical proportions of wildlife death, coastal economy collapse and continued poisoning of human health. Glyphosate is an antibiotic and 4 decades of drinking it in our drinking water is causing exponential growth in diseases including cancer, autism, Parkinson's, and celiacs just to name a few! Great Blue Herons nest building in preparation for offspring in the Everglades! The everglades once was the water shed of Florida, home to a diversity and abundance of animals found no where else on the planet! Today we have diverted the watershed east and west, used pestasides and hunted the majority of creatures from this beautiful area! We must leave the wild areas WILD, if we wish to protect the animals of our planet! Recently a small team and I discovered another huge source of fuel feeding our Red Tide!
