A boodle treat from a group of friends (Christians and Muslims) from the Centro Escolar University. These group of friends chose to spend their last day in school together doing a worthwhile cause and touching lives. Ma shaa Allah. I thought it was a school requirement, but turns out it's a "barkada" initiative. Ma shaa Allah. May we all be granted great friends wherever we are. . . They gave them school bags, dental hygiene kits, sweets, and many more. Being dentistry students, they taught them the proper way of brushing, too. They also prepared a number of fun Filipino games. I enjoyed watching them do the Palo Sebo (Peñata). . . This is a manifestation of the many beautiful things that can happen when we choose to build bridges and overcome the stereotypes we have of one another. We don't need to set aside religious differences actually. We only have to bank on the the many commonalities our faiths share (like compassion, love, and humanity) to do great things. We will all be surprised the commonalities are too many to be a foundation of not only tolerance, but friendships. And friendship is the best foundation of peace. . . #NurQuranicOrphanage #SponsporAnOrphan #NurQuranicOrphans #SavetheOrphans
