When I opened it, I thought my painting was no longer enough for our Warriors. I set out to find free gifts to send to all our Warriors. I began sending messages to authors, of spirituality, of inner peace, and found Jaclyn who instantly connected with me and offered to ship me journals from her Manifest It program. Fast forward to today, we are working on collaborations, she also has a link to our project on her website, I mean how amazing and generous is that?! If a harmonica is dropped in tbe bottom of the ocean and a wave comes through it, does it make music? We believe so. And so ths painting suggests it. For Holly, Warrior of CHARGE, nonverbal, autism one of its traits, but it doesn't stop her love of color through water and her beloved harmonica. She signs 'I love you' her blue harmonica sits tightly inside its gesture; we love you too. A true collaboration between @pourhousejoe and I, @thewarpaintproject, using acrylic pouring and a painted harmonica. The acrylic pour is so beautiful creating whatever we ask it to; create color through water. No filters To Emma, Lauren Lee Mother of a Magical Warrior, Fiery Red-Head Emma, Warrior of Childhood Cancer, whose painting, "Pull the Moon" is about a mermaid that gets sick of night and uses her one wish to pull the moon down, and replace it with the sun, filling the sky with bright orange, bringing creatures from hiding. It's coming together. The skull of flowers for an anonymous Warrior. A nomination who fell silent to her public story, something I don't require; I know her story, Emily knows it too, this woman is a Warrior. She won't take the title, most Warriors won't, they don't look at themselves as doing anything but trying to live another day. You are Warriors because you don't have to fight, you can give up-you can surrender both spiritually and medically, but you can't. Meet a Warrior of Cancer, fighting through work every day, fighting through making relationships work, fighting through the check out line, paying bills, and in prayer; likely everything she does is for others. I know your story, I know your status, and you're a Warrior through and through, living above your diagnosis, as if you've forgotten you have an excuse to lay down, let others take the brunt of responsibility for your happiness. I know your story. Your painting is my perception of death and life, of life overcoming what we are all underneath; just bones. But, some of you have bones that are made of sunflowers, or roses that don't die, of butterflies that refuse to move. Here, Warriors never die. I will forever remember the experience of painting for you at a time when excuses are easy, but fighting is worth it because it means we live another day to give and he generous to others...
