48,000 Signatures for SaveWOY

The petition has just hit 48,000 signatures! 48,000! Wow! Look at that number! How amazing is that!?

I want to send out another big thank you to all the supporters of SaveWOY. You guys have been amazing in your efforts to save Wander Over Yonder. I know that you’ve been fighting for a while but you’re still going strong! Please keep hold of that hope and determination.

Gravity Falls

With the recent announcement of the Gravity Falls series box set - Who knows what could happen? Their petition for a box set got a total of 9,957 signatures. We have a whopping 48K! 

“For those who don’t know, Disney basically hasn’t authorized a full DVD for ANY series since like, Gummi Bears,” Hirsh tweeted. “This thing existing is a miracle on the level of finding Walt Disney’s frozen head or discovering the secret genetically engineered Mickey they’ve hidden under ToonTown.”

Disney may just have more surprises for its fans further down the road. If we fight hard enough, we will be heard! 48K is a huge number and while Disney is a massive company, if we each fight hard and really push for this I am certain we can make an impact! 

So please fight on, Wanderers!

The SaveWOY petition hit 43K signatures today! - July 3rd 2017 

 How awesome is that?! I'm certainly stoked! Thank you everyone, that's a really impressive number! Now let's keep going! 

The number is still rising more than a year later so who knows how many we could get!? It's exciting!

I got back a day early from my vacation just in time to see this!

Excellent! The number just keeps rising! Good work Wanderers! Don’t the count the petition out yet, it’s still going, just slowly. 

42K is an amazing number that we should all be very proud of! The SaveWOY campaign continues to grow! The determination to save this show is astounding!

40,000 signatures for SaveWOY

With the Annie Awards and Wander Over Yonder’s nominations just days away, SaveWOY now has 40,000 supporters!

What an amazing milestone we have reached! 40,000 is A LOT! It’s definitely a milestone to be celebrated! Thank you to all of the supporters, you’ve helped bring us even closer to our goal of saving Wander Over Yonder. 

Our next milestone and new goal is 50,000! Let’s get there! We can do this!

Also rest assured the thank you project I’m working on for the supporters will be done. It is currently on hold but I hope to get back to it soon, however it will take a few months to complete. It’s not too late to sign the petition now and be a part of it!

Change.org petition confidentiality

Also for those of you who signed the petition and are worried about confidential data that you gave such as your address: None of that reaches Disney.

As I did with the 25K petition delivery, I remove all details except for your name and country before mailing it off. That way if it goes missing in the post or I assign signatures to other fans to work with they don’t have any other information of yours. Only I have full access to the information you have submitted via change.org. I do not permit anybody else to see it.

50K Petition Delivery Options

First of all:

Congratulations to the Wander Over Yonder fandom for hitting the big 50K on the SaveWOY petition! 

That is an absolutely incredible achievement and I hope you all realize just how huge and amazing that number is. The petition is nothing without you guys, every one of you has helped to make this possible so thank you all very much! Have a celebratory drink or piece of cake! 

This number will definitely help to get us noticed. Even after two years, new signatures are popping up daily. This proves that interest in this show and its revival hasn’t disappeared. I am certain that the number of signatures will continue to rise even after hitting this huge milestone.

Now onto the discussion of delivery:

So with the SaveWOY petition successfully hitting the big 50k this baby is ready for a second delivery attempt. The question is how to approach this? I’ve looked over Change.org’s guide on different delivery methods. Allow me to set the bar on where we stand with these.

Option 1: Hard Paper Copy

We have 996 pages of signatures. A full paper delivery would be really expensive and a lot of work. It would need to be printed and mailed to them. I could send it recorded which means they have to sign for it upon delivery. Which would prove that Disney received the signatures. This option gives us the clarification that Disney have the petition in their hands. However, since I would be mailing it out from the UK and recorded, the cost is expected to be quite high. I wouldn’t be able to cover these costs by myself. I am also lacking Microsoft Office on my new computer so what I can do with the file will be limited and may affect the final outcome. (Addresses and other signee’s information will need to be removed for personal privacy reasons before it can be sent off.)

Option 2: USB stick/Flash Drive/Disk

Using a USB stick like last time, there’s no guarantee that Disney will open the stick due to caution around viruses. The same goes for a disk. However this is a good idea as we can add files such as fanart and the petition comments like we did last time.

Option 3: In Person

Meeting in person is out of the question since this is Disney we are talking about and I don’t live in America to be able to drop the petition on their doorstep. 

Option 4: Email

Emailing the signatures we can do. Again, there is no guarantee that they will look at them but I will definitely send an email to all people of interest with the signature list. (Granted that the file fits within the email attachment size limit.)

Over all, despite sending Disney flashdrives, social media posts, emails, a big card, fanart and letters we haven’t heard anything back from them, so it’s possible that it will remain this way even after the petition has been delivered. Which makes it harder to know if they are actually interested or paying attention. The closest confirmation we can get is sending recorded mail, forcing Disney to sign for the letters and/or packages to verify they have received them.

If anyone has any idea or suggestions I would love to hear them. Reblog them with this post or send them to my ask box. We are all going to need to out our heads together and I have seen how clever and creative you guys are!
