Scallops with Garlic Butter are a fancy seafood dish that combines the sweetness of scallops with the richness of butter and the smell of garlic. You can make this recipe quickly and easily, and it's great for any event or dinner party.
Ingredients: 12 large scallops. 4 tablespoons unsalted butter. 4 cloves garlic, minced. Salt to taste. Black pepper to taste. 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley. Lemon wedges, for serving.
Instructions: Take some paper towels and pat the scallops dry. Then, add salt and black pepper to taste. While the pan is on medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Put in the minced garlic and cook for one to two minutes, until the garlic smells good. Make sure there aren't too many scallops in the pan when you add them. They should be cooked for two to three minutes on each side until they get a golden crust. Add the last two tablespoons of butter to the pan and let it melt. As the scallops cook, baste them with the garlic butter sauce. If you want the scallops to look nice, sprinkle chopped parsley on top of them after they are fully cooked. Right away, serve with lemon wedges on the side.
