This Slow Cooker Apple & Clove Ham is a delicious and easy way to prepare a flavorful ham. The combination of apple cider, brown sugar, and cloves infuses the ham with sweet and savory flavors, making it perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients: 1 5-7 pound bone-in ham. 1 cup apple cider. 1/2 cup brown sugar. 1/4 cup Dijon mustard. 1 tablespoon whole cloves.
Instructions: Score the surface of the ham in a criss-cross pattern, about 1/4 inch deep. In a bowl, mix together apple cider, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard. Place the ham in the slow cooker and pour the apple cider mixture over it. Insert whole cloves into the scored areas of the ham. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the ham is heated through and tender. Baste the ham with the juices from the slow cooker occasionally during cooking. Once done, remove the ham from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve slices of the ham with the remaining juices from the slow cooker.
