This is a mini table saw I picked up from Harbor Freight. I mainly bought it since I will be precision cutting many small pieces of wood for my current project. Unfortunately, it is a bit underpowered but it functions reasonably well for the 1/8 and 3/32 inch thick basswood I am using. The small cutting guide was a piece of crap and more likely to result in an ER visit, so I decided to upgrade this little saw. The first additions were a set of push sticks to keep hands and fingers away from the blade while in use. The lower stick is based off on an example by Chris Schwarz, just scaled down for this saw. The third photo shows an example of its use. The next addition was a proper cutting fence. The fence is a simple box that fits tightly to the saw table. The large knob on the side allows for fine adjustments while the lower knob is a lock screw. The final addition is a table saw sled. It has runners on the bottom that allow it to slide on the saw bed. This provides quick 90deg cuts. Examples are present in the last photo. As for what these are, they will be the subject of the next post.
