although there are minor differences people shouldn’t get pissy over the nationality of a nose or something. hell, i’m from hong kong and my skin is dark as fuck, exceptions exist that’s all

sorry, I'm going to have to majorly disagree with that because I've met Korean people with dark skin, light skin, big eyes, small eyes, monolids and not, wide noses, thin noses, tall, short, fat, thin. 

What I'm saying is people shouldn't judge your nationality based on how you look, how your eyes are shaped, it shouldn't matter whether more Chinese people have this particular nose or more Japanese people have this sort of lips, you shouldn't label your facial features as the "exception" because you think more Korean people have a lighter shade of skin or whatever. 

Yeah, people shouldn't assign nationality to facial features. Saying that something is an "exception" or even saying that there are difference between how a Korean person looks and a Japanese person looks is, in essence, assigning nationality to facial features because then it becomes possible for someone to look "less Korean" or "more Japanese."

For example, people questioned Nina Davuluri, the first Indian-American to be crown Miss America, and her eligibility to be Miss America simply because she didn't look "American." So then what does it mean to look "American"? 

This sort of thinking applies to Eastern Asians too, I think, though in a more subtle difference, but same in principle.
