Sayrus specializes in the research of Slime Rarities and Oddities. his most publicitized works are his research into Gold Slimes, The Lucky Slimes, Tarrs, his attempts at recreating Pure Saber Slimes, as his mass plort farming of odder slimes like the Quantum, Rad, Meteor, Twinkle and other rare slimes.
but his most important work is the even more rare research of of Anomalies, single slimes that break rules established preexisting on a species or slimes in general. His greatest partner is Viktor Humphries, of course, but he works very, very closely with his other local neighbors out on the far, far range.
His first Anomalis Discovery is subject 1, “Noir” or “The Tranquil Tar”. Found in a deep cave in the Glass Desert, the tar was almost blasted and destroyed with water accidentally in Sayrus’ panic. however, it was noticed that the slime was living tranqually among the drifting phosphors in the tunnel, and his water assault was stopped when the Tarr gave an actual reactive scream of pain, like a normal slime. The tarr Noir has since been relocated to a pen on Sayrus’ farm, penned with Phosphors and kept in a low-stimulation dark cave coral, lulled with soft music. its Diet mostly consists on the phosphor plorts created by its pen mates, and extra cuberries. It has been seen playing with the same toys as its coral companions, and has never actively attempted to eat any of them. Noir’s existence was kept quite between Sayrus, Viktor, and only a few other ranchers, due to the nature of concern that other ranchers might try to create a “tame” slime like Noir, only to be housing dangerous Tarrs that will never be tame and bring great risk to ranchers in general. Since the tar devours plots, rather than producing them, its not quite a valuable venture, anyway. research is still underway on what exact slime species make up Noir.
Entity 7 is nicknamed after rancher Sayrus himself. the Mystery purple slime was found by Sayrus’ boyfriend and fellow rancher Myrus, in the Moss Blanket at Mushroom Lake. Anomaly 7 is a complete mystery, as all testing indicates it’s merely a regular puddle slime, despite many small oddities- its purple color, its attraction to objects of high sugar content, a sugary scented plort that attracts other slimes (similar to the Honey Plort) and an ability to survive without water, unlike other puddle slimes. despite the latter most ability, subject 7 has proven to have discomfort outside of water, and its other unique ability is the capacity to float and survive on top of the slime sea, a feat not even other puddles can achieve. no testing has been done to see if it could survive floating on the Sand sea, due to risks toward subject Sayrus. subject 7 is kept in a pen with at least one other slime in a well-lit cave, pen composed primarily of a pond and elevated or floating platforms. other than the obvious coloring, subject 7′s other primary anomalys is that, when left alone for prolonged periods, the sweet scent of itself and its plorts intensifies incrimently, and slimes in any vicinity to it will nearly desperately attempt to approach it, to the point Gold or Lucky slimes will appear in its pen. subject 7 will be in a state of what appears to be anxious loneliness until other slimes, or even ranchers, arrive in its company, and will calm quickly. like other puddle slimes, however, it exhibits shy behavior if too many people or slimes arrive in its pond to comfort it. Due to its ability to attract even rare slimes, Entity 7 is also kept relatively quiet, although has garnered much more interest due to the lucrative ability to be able to attract valuable slimes. it’s spoken of frequently in science communities as a possible future evolutionary chain of slime that will ubsurge the current species of puddle slimes, or possible from an undiscovered island on the far range and voyaged across the slime sea. ability to see, or interact, or observe the slime itself is restricted to only select, trustable scientists- Sayrus defers on denying or accepting colleges allowed to visit to Viktor, as his friend has more experience in the community than him; Sayrus prefers the company (or lack there of) of the far range and its slimes and ranchers to the scientists and intrigued people of earth and its other colonies.
Subject “serif”, or number 12, is another example of the idea of “evolving slimes” following the rules of Natural Selection and Survival of the Fittest; although, its theorized to be an ancient slime ancestor of the original tangle slimes theorized to have survived in the Glass Desert- purportedly when it was not a desert, but maybe a lusher location, as the camouflage of its native Tangle Slimes would suggest, as would the vibrant colorful birds and slimes that would have lived in it, and the types of plants that spring up in the oases. regardless of whether subject 12 is of the future or of the new future species of slimes, its certainly a top Appex creature of the Glass Desert. while its unusual dark coloration and larger than usual size is what attracted Sayrus’ attention while he was out looking for Painted hens just outside his own Dessert-established farm, it was the events shortly following that led to sayrus taking in the slime. an eruption of Tarr in the local area that night came toward the oasis in an attempt to eat subject 12 and a great number of other slimes. already going to be captured as 12 had already eaten 5 plorts without becoming so much as a largo, when the subject promptly attacked the group of slimes with underground tentacles- so much as catching and yanking one toward the tangle slime subject, and then devoured in ward large stretching bite? safe to suffice the subject was needed for testing. when Tarrs draw near, it releases large amount of Tangle pollen, agitating Tarrs and other Slimes, and can make quick work of eating large Tarrs. thusly, Subject is kept on the very opposite end of Sayrus’ cave ranch from subject 1, housed in a a cave with its own oasis, well lit, and with 5 other normal tangle slimes. it produces 3 or more plorts after eating a tarr- sayrus has since proven that the three plorts are reflectant of whatever the Tarr was composed of in terms of other slimes. when no Tarrs are present, subject Serif behaves as any other Tangle slime, aside from its inability to become a largo when eating other plort types. this subject is yet another one talked about in tight slime science circles, with very restricted visits from other scientists being made to Sayrus’ ranch in a hope to see it in action. Sayrus gets particularly annoyed, as scientists have been known to bring slime ports with them in order to make a tarr out of slimes housed with the subject, in order to see serif in action. sayrus has since banned anyone bringing any plorts into his ranch, under threat of ‘dismemberment’ and being fed to the Tarr-stressed agitated serif in favor of the painted hens. Viktor- usually on perimisses when a group of scientists are allowed to the ranch, will correct him- no, you will not be dismembered. but you will be sued for all your worth for disturbing or agitating subject 12 by releasing hostile Tarrs in its pen.
Anomalis Entity “Frigid”, or subject 32, was a slime discovered in the nimble valley by Mochi Miles, and it took all of her greatest technology and several months to actually catch the bastard. far faster than any other quicksilver, it approaches a practical level of near-quantum speeds that rivals the chaotic energy of lightspeed ship travel. Mochi partnered with Desert Dwelling neighbor rancher after keeping the slime a secret for about a week, arriving at his ranch with the contained slime. Subject 32 is kept a complete, dead silent secret, and kept on Sayrus’ ranch. the only people aware of this bizarre largo’s existence are Sayrus, his boyfriend, Viktor, Mochi herself, and a few select and talented people from mochi’s corporation who kept it contained until then. its name comes from expecting the Fire-Silver largo to be hot, but on contact the slime itself is almost icily cold. it is known to combust aggressively when agitated or hungry. it is currently under research due to its very high consumption rate, eating mass amounts of energy, to create a new rare plort. Mochi, Sayrus, and Viktor have come to the conclusion that the high-energy plort could be a major component to space-based travel in the future, along with incredible new technologies. subject frigid is contained in a very larger than usual cave pen, with moderate lighting, and is housed with 10 Boom-Rad Largos. entity 32 is known to get its diet or radiation from the other largos in its pen, as well as sometimes devouring the energy they build up before they get the change to explode. the room is also equipped with the ability to fire off electricity to feed him. 32′s behavior is unusually lethargic for a quick silver, remaining still most of they, zipping around only when agitated or irritated, or deeming it wants to for whatever reason. recently its been discovered that despite being part Fire Slime, subject greatly enjoys sitting in water and floating.
Koyol is a friend of rancher Sayrus, known for wandering the far far range, and visiting once and a while, studying the planet and its slimes. Koyol arrives to Sayrus’ ranch one day carrying a very docile, calm Rad slime and offers it to Sayrus as a subject before continuing on with his unfinished route of exploration. by the time Koyol returns to the farm, Sayrus has come to a conclusion that it is indeed a curious slime. named after the man who gave it to him, subject “koyol” or “kyle”, also known as subject 46, subject appears to be a normal pure rad slime, aside only from a slightly larger size than normal. However, the slime has proven to be uncontainable, and any attempt to house it in a single coral will result in it disappearing when it appears to desire it to, or being found elsewhere in a different coral, even in Sayrus’ own quarters. it makes a habit of hovering around other special Subjects, floating around in subject sayrus’ pond, sitting calm near subject noir, or wherever else it pleases to go. It has demonstrated great friendliness toward ranchers or other slimes, if shy to interact, but has proven content so “stack” on sayrus like other slimes tend to stack, sitting on the rancher’s shoulder contentedly as he works or explores. subject has demonstrated un-slime-like intelligence, such as finding lost objects when sayrus mutters he cannot find them to himself, or containing items inside its slime body, rushing out to absorb a plort into its body and preventing a largo from eating it and becoming a tarr. it has even shown a small capacity to read, and even attempt to communicate. anyone could say he’s merely imagining these oddities- more so because hes spending time close to a radioactive slime- but the subject has shown physical anomalies as well. one of the most obvious examples being a refusal to eat vegetables, and eating great amounts of meat.another, thus far, was the ability to completely turn of its radiation field when it over heard Sayrus speaking with viktor about the difficulties it presents near lab tech. viktor had, until then, questioned the slimes ‘anomalies’ as sayrus just favoring a slime pet, but at that point had to admit it wasn't a normal slime.
subject 57, or Subject Callista, is referred to as the Gold Largo. specifically, of course, that it is a largo composed not just of two slimes that arent supposed to be capable of becoming largos, but also because it is half composed of a Golden Slime. like its fellow anomalies, golden slimes, subject callista cannot be caught or housed- it has, however, frequented sayrus’ Ranch since it was established- supposedly, anticipating the number of anomalies that would exist there on day. said assumption is one Sayrus makes due to the nature of the subjects miraculously coincidental appearances- such as appearing in Sayrus’ quarters every time sayrus happens to have found a gilded ginger that day, or appearing in a flutter to sayrus before a slime coral’s cave almost collapsed in order to warn him. Sayrus has paced his lab, mumbling to victor over a hologram incessantly over the nature of subject Callista, because the slime makes little sense- its a puddle and a gold, and yet, it produces quantum plorts when sayrus gives it food, only to point aggressively when callista has appeared on the lab table, much to the amusement of his fellow scientist over the hologram. subject 57 is a grand mystery of the Glass Desert ranch, and many scientist doubt it exists, while some who were lucky to visit the ranch and see a specific slime claim to have seen it actually floating with subject Sirus in the pond, or vanish from Serif’s pen through the wall itself. While subject Callista cannot be contained, its almost always appeared on the ranch when sayrus boils up ginger root water for it, and will contentedly float around in a pond sayrus pours the ginger root water into and allow itself to be observed and researched.
You can coax the cold right out of me
Drape me in your warmth
The rapture in the dark puts me at ease
The blind eye of the storm
Let's go for a walk down Easy Street
Where you can be reborn
And kiss me on the mouth and set me free
But please, don’t bite
heres some old shit i found from practicing pens and brushes on the tablet
