I hate to send you this message because I loved your tweet yesterday about the impact of GG's tweet making SB fans quit SM but unfortunately both SBtalk and therecgoes that two big SB shippers we thought quit twitter because of GG's video have returned. According to them GG was forced to make that video and since he didn't directly call out SB shippers that means he still supports SB. I'm sorry I really thought they were actually going to leave this time too 😣😣😣

Ah, that’s a shame. But that’s also why this can’t be a one-off statement but genuinely the beginning of more vocal support and defense of Candice against the racism she faces online. (And for the record, that shouldn’t ALL be on Grant. It should have been a united front from the beginning.) His one statement was enough to throw them through a loop and it took them two days to come up with “Grant was forced to make that statement.” If he continues to show vocal support Candice, they may never admit to themselves that he doesn’t hate Candice like they want him to and doesn’t co-sign their racism. But they might leave the fandom (in a huff) so they don’t have to keep seeing public support that goes against their worldview.

Even if they don’t, it would deter others who aren’t so aggressively determined about their idiocy to make spreadsheets to “prove” SB endgame to keep their hatred to themselves and not direct it CP’s way. Or even to stop hopping in her mentions every time she posts about her dog to say they want SB because some might realize they aren’t going to get what they want.

And that would assuredly be a good thing.

Also, they may be swearing up and down Grant was being forced, but inside they’re increasingly miserable because they’ve taken Ls every year and continue to do so. I mean, they’re probably miserable people anyway if they’re going online to harass an actress for doing her job when they can’t use her as a self-insert, so I wouldn’t take it as a win. But at this point, their misery is at least as self-inflicted as anything else because in the face of a clear narrative making it clear SB is not, has never been, and will never be a thing, they tell themselves that the fact Barry turned to the left under a full moon with his left hand parallel to her right foot is an indication that SB is totally about to take off. So they just keep drowning in their own bitterness and rage that this thing they feel entitled to isn’t happening. And every year it gets worse.

Also, there’s the mental disconnect that they think Grant is being forced to support Candice. Supposedly by the show runners/network. But they’re also convinced those same show runners/network hate Candice and are trying to get rid of her in favor of SB. Then why would they force Grant to show her support? 🤔

Finally got around to finishing off The Owl House season 1. That finale was just 👌

Too bad season 2 isn’t being uploaded yet to Disney+.

And it turns out mega-madridista seems to be gone for good this time.

The one thing that gets me, even after having gotten all the way into Shadowbringers, is how few other players there are with Roegadyn characters running around. Especially girl ones.

It’s like I’m the only tall buff girl, wading through crowds of catgirls, dragon girls, and other people in cute outfits. Meanwhile I’m running around glamoured in what I’ve nicknamed the ‘Tartan Punk’ getup.
