"Meiling!" Walking up to the gatekeeper, with the present behind her back. "I hope you will enjoy this." Presenting her gift which contained a music box, which has a Chinese dragon that pops up when winded, and plays a calming tune. It was well decorated too with charming decorations like its carefully engraved Chinese letters and what not. Maybe she could listen to it when she's resting or something?

Meiling jumped a little from the sudden calling of her name, swivelling around before beaming down at the small vampire. "Mistress! Happy Holidays~" She quickly responded before she was handed that gift.

"O-Oh! Milady, you didn't need to get--" She paused, clearing her throat. "I suppose you know that. Thank you, milady. I'm ever-so grateful as always for your kindness~" Meiling gave a polite bow of thanks, before she began opening up the present. Seeing the winding-key adorned on the box gave her a pretty quick idea of what it was, and her eyes quickly lit up ass she turned the key and watched the dragon pop out. She gave a delighted hum before placing the music box down, beaming at the vampire.

"Milady~? May I give you a hug?!"

War notes for Meiling

Meiling won't be actively seeking any quarrels. She'll mostly be hanging out in Reimu's apartment with the other Scarlet Mansion denizens as Sakuya and Reimu organised.

She may very well, however, react with hostility to anyone who tries to get the others in the household involved in the war unless said household member is voluntarily partaking in the fights themselves.

She might get involved if her loved ones are getting involved too for the sole sake of wanting to be close to them and assist where she's needed, but she won't be following them around like a sheep either.

Basically don't mess with the SDM or she'll heck you up!

For whatever reason, if you want to get killed by Meiling's mighty kung-fu and Qi abilities, throw me a message and we can work out a thread? It would be a nice opportunity to show off her less heroic side~

(Closed)☯So Close and Yet So Far

Such vibrant colors all around--yet with a single spot of gray.

No...no. That wasn't even right. It wasn't gray, it wasn't white or silver, it wasn't anything; simply...nothing. Devoid of...of life, of hue. An uncolored page in a book.

And that drab spot of nothing was her.

Reimu watched the memory as it unfolded, the sounds so muted that they resembled the murmur of waves. The Hakurei Shrine hosted parties often and she wasn't even sure which one she was looking at--but it was familiar. Everything and everyone was.

The scarlet of the fire, the brown of the wood...those colors remained consistent, but all of her friends caused their own signature shades to rub off on each other. No one in the memory noticed. Yet her other self remained utterly devoid of shading, giving and receiving nothing, even as she laughed and drank with the others.

Reimu didn't even blink as she sensed someone's approach. She just frowned deeply and watched the proceedings; a phantom in their midst. Unseen.

"What's this supposed to mean?"

The party continued. She became more irritated by the second.

The Scarlet Devil Monastery ✵ | Closed Event

A loud, deep gong reverberates through the fog of this seemingly mountainous area, but this fog wasn't particularly cold or ominous, it was more like a warm blanket, wrapped around the various pointed rooftops of a particular structure built into the mountainside. The warm sunrise appeared like a red orb floating on the sea of golden clouds. With the sounding gong, the sounds of hundreds of figures shifting from place to place could be heard, but not a single soul was in sight, for the timebeing.

This place's architecture was definitely Chinese, but the fog and layer of cloud that surrounded this monastery and its mountain peak left absolutely no indication of any other place even existing, entirely closed off from whatever life may have gone on below. Perhaps here, in the gatekeeper's mind, this is all that there was. Taking a closer look at the monastery, one might notice some more unusual aspects that didn't quite match the Chinese origin. Atop the highest pagoda was a large clock, and the surrounding gardens and courtyards shifted unnaturally between a blend of traditional Chinese and European gardens.

Any arriving visitors found themselves on a mountain trail that wound directly towards the monastery's gate and outer wall. Sitting beside this gate was what appeared to be the only visible sign of life in this world; the gatekeeper, and host of this world, doing what she does best. Sitting with her legs crossed, she seemed to have her eyes closed, lost in the tranquillity of her surroundings. She wasn't clad in her usual green uniform either, she was instead wearing a warmly coloured monk's robe that matched the surrounding clouds.

As you approach, she slowly stands up and presents a bow of greeting, though her eyes are yet to open and see exactly who her visitor is.

//For the RAM event threads I make, I think I'm going to make one universal opening post that you can all reply to that opens the setting of Meiling's hosted world? Otherwise I'd probably end up making a very similar post for all of you, which may not really be the best idea. I hope that's okay with you all!
