“Sended" is the past tense of "scend" (also spelled "send”), which means “to move upward on a wave.”
If that student put his email on a surfboard and delivered it to you via tidal wave, he’s got a point. Otherwise, he screwed up.
The past tense of “send" (as in sending email) is “sent.”
I’m guessing that displaying poor grammar isn’t exactly the best way to impress admissions officers, right?
