It has been introduced to many areas in the US, often growing near or on beaches. It has several names like sea spray rose, beach rose, sea tomato and Turkestan rose. . I picked them this late summer on the beach at Flying Point Road in Watermill. The smell is particularly intense. They have been pickled in Italian Apple vinegar and are waiting for you to taste on March 13th as part of a course based on a scent by the super creative perfumer Timothy Han of @th.edition . .
