it’s so weird thinking about how far removed tumblr is from like the alterhuman subculture overall, like the definition on here went from “identifying as something nonhuman on an integral internal level” (correct), to “identifying WITH something” to “unconscious coping mechanism” to “conscious coping mechanism” to just like “really liking something (and being weirdly hostile about it)”
