Just recently realized that it was 20 years ago (!) that The Village Voice picked up my weekly strip ("Schlock 'n' Roll," which later became "Sutton Impact," continued in the Voice until I retired the strip in 2007). It coincided with the Voice adding a section called Voice Choices, and I was asked to draw the first cover for the section, where the comics appeared. To get a weekly NYC audience in The Voice made for a gigantic elevation of my cartooning career and an absolute thrill. I'm so grateful to Ted Keller for giving me a chance - thank you, Ted!!
