Find the time that works best for you to do homework.

I found that I can barely focus on homework in morning/early afternoon and am way more motivated to do it between 5 and 7 pm. It's different for everyone, I have a friend who it doesn't matter what time she does it, she will literally study throughout the day. I know someone else who does her best work at 11-12 at night. Another person does their best right before class at 6 or 7 in the morning. Find what works best for you and set aside that time to do your work.

Keep your school schedule as your lockscreen for the first week or two of classes.

This has been a lifesaver for me every semester so I don't have to mess around with papers and can just instead look at my phone real fast to know when my next class is and where it's at.

Buy a decent laptop. You will be using it the entire time you're in college and it's better to spend 400 now then 150 now and 500 later when your old one breaks.

Also take care of your laptop. Turn it off once in awhile, clean it, run your anti virus software, and clear your Google Chrome history regularly (this one especially can slow your computer down significantly).
