Schurniverse COVID-19 Edition

something about the found family trope makes my heart so full. I’ve realized it’s the common ground in every one of my favorite stories.

There’s something about the bond that’s formed through a love that isn’t given because of attraction, that isn’t unconditional in the sense that you have to love your family members because they happen to share your dna, but the love that’s given when random groups of individuals find each other and choose to love one another. They choose who they would die for, and who they want to protect, and rely on, and cry to, and laugh with, and to me, that bond is much stronger than anything else, because it means that there is truly nothing holding those people together. they choose to be a found family for no ulterior motive other than they both want and enjoy the other persons company.

Idk I’m soft and I think it’s adorable when rag tag gangs of people thrown together by coincidence end up loving each other intensely long after they would need to.

Watching Ben and Leslie in their pre-relatonship UST stage in Season 3 where they can’t be together because of Chris’ rule is giving me major Synesthesia vibes.

i LOVE that nicole byer is being inducted into the mike schurniverse with brooklyn nine nine and the good place, but i wish that parks and rec was still on to have her. here are my ideas for nicole byer in parks and rec:

nicole byer is a florist who is depressed in february because of her recent break-up. leslie decides to cheer her up by inviting her to galentine’s day. it works, but things take a turn when nicole decides to trademark galentine’s day and use it to make money through mass-produced cheap products. leslie is outraged.

nicole byer is jean-ralphio’s girlfriend. she is a foot psychic. tom hates to admit it, but her toe crystals are dope.

nicole byer is the cheerful children’s librarian at the public library. she wants to use ramsett park as a children’s book festival, but the parks department is naturally suspicious of a librarian trying to peddle books to children.

nicole byer is dennis feinstein’s wife. she inspired the romantic fragrance “bone zone”. 

nicole byer is the owner of the most beloved pawnee pizza shop, and she begins a pizza war with the owner of the eagleton equivalent, owned by christin milioti. it turns out the women have a crush on each other, and leslie attempts to play matchmaker.
