2021
So, I have decided for myself that “lose weight” or “lose x amount of weight” is just too wide and cryptic of a goal to be achievable without disappointment.
Instead, I set up a bunch of smaller things, like
drink at least 2 L of water every day
try to exercise
try staying in your calory budget
eat more fruits and vegetables
to have some “easily” achievable goals. They will lead to weight loss if I do it right, but they will also improve my life quality even if I don’t lose weight, so I won’t feel like a failure at the end of the year if I don’t lose weight.
I really have to control myself again – lately I have been overeating a lot. Like yes, I am busy irl, but stuffing myself isn’t self-care, it’s neglect and self harm disguised as love. I need to eat healthy again, need to exercise again, and achieve my goal of getting to a healthy weight.
Update 24/12/2019
I lost weight well at first, then I fell back. I’m not back at my start-weight (luckily) but I already regained almost three kilograms while not progressing any further. These holidays I can practically feel myself getting heavier. I’m already putting together a work-out routine, so I can hopefully counteract my bullshit eating tendencies (yes, hand me a plate of sweets, it will be gone in seconds).
Today, on the 8th November 2017, I finally managed to reach my first weight loss milestone: having my weight below 110 kg. Right now, I’m weighting 109,7 kg. Persistence is fruitful!
btw i made a tiktok account for tracking my weekly weight changes, check it out here!
