@scioncfel: real question tho how did that ship ever become so big with the show like i truly thought they were gonna invest it all into jimmy and kara. but i stopped watching the show so idek what really happened.

oh don’t worry you didn’t miss much... only the fact that he lied to her about his entire identity, owned slaves, treated women legitimately like Garbage™ and had literally no respect for them, lied to her, had no faith in her, called her selfish and egotistical for becoming supergi/rl, yelled at her when she told him she could handle a rogue imp, didn’t listen to her, guilttripped her into a relationship because I Know You Don’t Feel The Same... and all in all took most of her screen-time, character development and consistent characterisation away from her.

DESPITE her constant rejections and showing literally NO interest in him at all from the start.

i legit just watched the animated video. one day i will stop being Lazy (TM) and actually read flashpoint. but yeah kal was so sad and just broken and in the end he still did the right thing and just. but dude hal getting a letter too okay wow my heart. also bruce reading that letter after amh my heart and ugh barry staying so persistent with accessing the speed force to fix his mistakes even if it might kill him and just ugh my heart

hahaha yup watched the animated stuff first and then went back and read everything (: & then binge read all the GL (but i’m probs behind now bc that was last year).

what about kal meeting his mom? (haha rip..... but just ???? everyone being able to meet the people they care about / miss / have been impacted by the most ugh)

oh my god yeah. kal looked so sad :( the best thing about flashpoint was barry giving bruce a letter from his dad. i also read flashpoint out of order lmao. i did it by character rather than by issue.

Memory Meme | no longer accepting

   Bruce was half asleep- the state for once oddly peaceful as he lay there tangled with Kanwer in the bed. His mind drifting along with the sensations- the slightly damp sheets, the low light and how it seemed to harmonize with the gold of Kanwer’s skin. And his mind seemed to drift too along with memories. 

Kanwer with his head raised as he stepped inside the Manor for the first time. Or when he stumbled into the cabin they had been both accidentally been assigned. Both memories of firsts ended the same way … 

“When you smile,” Bruce said, his eyes shut at last as he rested his head against the other man’s chest. “It’s like the sun is caught in your teeth.”

And as he fell asleep he too smiled remembering. Kanwer finally looking at Bruce and giving him a look that had made the whole house suddenly feel warm. The nervous grin in the cabin doorway that in hindsight felt more like the stringing of a god’s bow that had shot through and carried him here to this moment. In this man’s arms.
