"What have I told you about being in here!?"

Faryn felt her heart jump into her throat when she heard his voice. She felt like a child, being scolded for being caught taking extra sweets from where they were hidden. Her nerves took over and her eyes darted back and forth across the room. There was no other exit aside from the one that was currently blocked by what she saw as a figure of authority at the moment.

 "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I forgot! I'm sorry!" Faryn cringed as she paced back and forth like an animal, trying to figure out how to get around an obstacle that could be dangerous.

Sensing magic is more like an art than a science, for several reasons. First, and perhaps more obvious, is that many mages spend their days with their magic hidden. By using various spells and charms that affect the way their magic is sensed. Second, the control over their magic affects how much could be sensed. Right now the magic he felt was either from a child, or someone who forgot to use their six charms. 

Curiosity beckoned, or that's what he blamed anyway as he moved closer to the source. He's not sure what he expects to find, but he wants to get a quick look at it. A quick look never hurt anyone, and any little voice that try to tell him otherwise was quickly told to shut it.

Fleur was breathing heavily but was calming down slowly. "T…Th…Thank..You…"

       ~Riko squeaked as she watched the man stumble. She reached for him with a wince, though her small body had no chance of catching him without stumbling herself, she still tried. She was strong, but the momentum broke the way she had braced herself and she had to take a few steps before she regained her balance, straightening the both of them. A soft huff escaped from between her lips.

“Are you alright?”

"Are you dead?"

Faryn opened one eye underneath her sunglasses. "That's a dumb question to ask someone who's asleep. If I was dead, did you think I would respond?" She was tired, and cranky. And when she was tired and cranky, nobody could escape her wrath. "Am I dead now?" She straightened herself out in the alley and crossed her legs so she looked more alive.
