Scotiabank Convention Centre
The Scotiabank Convention Centre was built on 2011, located in Niagara Falls. The center is mainly used for events, conferences and meetings for facilities. It hosts and attracts many visitors per year. Aside from the great food and large space the arena provides, the guests will have an amazing view of the great Niagara Falls, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Our travel and tourism program had the honor to visit the Scotiabank arena at Niagara Falls recently. The tour guides at the arena was kind enough to give our class an exclusive tour of the convention and a quick presentation from Christina Marcotte, who is the manager of the International Travel Trade at Niagara Falls Tourism. The tour guide showed our group mostly everything from the ballrooms, where they have held some proms, weddings, and other exciting events. To backstage dressing rooms where celebrities would come and stay. We even followed the route the celebrities would take from the dressing room to the stage. The last insider stop of the tour was the loading decks. This is where the whole center would get all of their shipments from. Such as chairs, foods for the great kitchen, etc. After our tour, the team headed to one of the conference rooms to listen to a presentation by Christina.
