I'd like to introduce Shona Mooney who plays fiddle on here. Shona is an amazing Scots fiddler from the Borders region, who has her own distinct and beautiful style. To my ears she has a rich and pure sound which is uniquely her own. She joined the band back in 2013 and tours with us for bigger concerts and festivals when her busy schedule allows. Shona won the highly coveted BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician Award in 2006 and went on to release some stunning solo albums. Shona also plays in a fabulous girl band called The Shee as well as teaching some lucky students. She has a wonderful sense of humour, and as you can see is a dab artistic hand with make up!
