Haven't done much art because I've been working on this little guy:
Making a Scottie (currently still WIP!)
Got a book called 'Crochet Your Own Dog" by Mieko Shindo. It does not have a Scottish Terrier specifically in it, but it's not too difficult to modify the dogs in it to fit what you need. Base body is Schnauzer standing position, with yorkshire terrier ears, and the tail was lengthened from the schnauzer pattern.
They mention in the book to brush the yarn pieces with a slicker brush, but I don't know, I kind of like the wildness. Looks like the scotties in my life, hahaha.
Here's the gorgeous model picture I'm basing the skirt on:
Also, the book puts grafted yarn on the entire body of the dog, but I'm not sure if I should do that or not. I kind of like the slick and short contrast of the normal crochet against the longer skirt. I did do a few tester pieces just to see how it'd look to put it on the body and brush it, but I'm still feeling 'meh' about that part.
Maybe if I make a second one I can try out a longer body?
Not sure if anyone is reading this, but if you have thoughts, share them!
