Description
055 It’s… something… probably? *sigh* the thing is that 055 is an ‘something’ that have strong amnestic effect, and any attempt to record or at least remember what 055 is, is ineffective, as not only 055 have amnestic properties but everything related, so if you go up to 055 to do picture, you will forget about this task. And even if you did took a picture of it, you would be able to remember what’s on it as it will have same effect.
The only things that are know about 055 is the fact that it’s antimemetic, when we don’t know what it is SCP foundation is able to slowly know what it isn’t and as right now they deduced that is not a sphere object (and if WNTTAF-F story cannon then “We know it isn't Safe or Euclid. We know it isn't round, or square, or green or silver. We know it isn't stupid. And we know it isn't alone”) and even thought it’s assigned Keter, it doesn't seem to actively escape it’s cell making it possibly an immovable object? (I mean I guess if it’s tried we wouldn’t know).
Pros:
…It can be good?: A lot of (technically non-cannon but who knows) stores present 055 as possibly powerful SCP, like how in 5000 it can reset the universe when combined with 579, there is possibility that if you discover what and how to use 055 you can achieve godhood or something but…
Cons:
It’s probably bad: Yea, I mean maybe it’s my own interpretation of 5000, but it seem like 5000 entity was either tied to 055 or it was 055 itself that tricked Pietro into putting 055 and 579 to reset universe and prevent foundation to ‘cure’ humanity, something that in my personal interpretation was bad decision for humanity as entity will probably do something even worse to them. I mean yea ok, I know I go maybe little too much into 5000 lore where 055 canonically doesn’t have to be connected to it but even in WNTTAF-F that from my understanding is at least semi-canonical as it linked as There Is No Antimemetics Division by same author that list 055 as “Critical background reading”, Dr. Bart Hughes died after he got close to discovering what 055 was, I think? Not sure I only read WNTTAF-F form TINAD collection so maybe I misunderstood something, maybe he died form SCP-3125 or ‘Contagious murder’ whatever that means, either way I’m more in favor of opinion that 055 is either potentially dangerous or…
It’s useless, I mean there is a lot of theories what 055 is and one of more popular is that it was foundation amnestic experiment, and they accidentally make object so strong that they all forgot what is it, from all we know 055 can be literally just a rock that have am antimemetic abilities.
Would you even know you have it?: That’s good question, if you had ability to summon 055, would you even remember you done that? I feel like you would forgot of whole summon, 055 would just be in the middle of your room and the only indication of it would be occasional feeling that you forgot something.
Conclusion:
055 is probably the most, not even worst, but just pointless SCP you can take, I mean you wouldn’t even remember you summon it so like… what’s the point?

Ok unrelated, but I can never remember the number of 055, I always thing it’s either 047, 044, 074, or 077. Why? Idk! Just small fun fact.
