Cat's Chimerical Creations: Scrapbag
Blackberries and a tote bag made from some deckchair fabric. It's not going to wear out in my lifetime!

More scraps from The Cotton Patch that I cut into half hexagons before stitching together in strips. The lining is just scrap curtain lining that has interlining bonded to it, perfect for some light quilting and it also adds structure. The zip was from an old dress and the tabs are made from velvet ribbon scavenged from more curtain samples. I needed somewhere to keep my new collection of permanent markers and this is it! See the post above for what I did with the markers.
Latest scrap bag made from some left over African stripe, scrap store zip, plus lining and wadding scraps. The coins were purchases new from ArtyJ's and the beetle is a piece of scrap black felt with some bronze thread hand stitched on. No zip is complete without a tassel so we made one of those too! I can't take credit for the design , that was entirely the idea of my youngest daughter who needed a bag to go clubbing with and had an hour to find one on New Year's Eve! Well, she did go to the ball and I can report the bag fared well. Almost forgot, the strap is a robust black trainer lace.
