This TV show was adapted from its own podcast & only runs for 1 season.
Its plot is about an alien mold that's infecting the world, jumpstarting mutated creatures, madness & an interdimensional God hungry to enter our dimensions...
Pretty standard stuff.
Heh.
But, Archive 81 has been favorably compared to many of Lovecraft's works & the movies The Endless & Annihilation.
This series even has an amazing musical score, that also serves as a literary device.
Supposedly, Netflix cancelled Archive 81 because there was way too much exposition!
Hah...
Good thing Lovecraft isn't writing in today's world.
He might never have gotten the one book deal he did get!
