Imagine being able to laze around for an hour or two, munching away at whatever substance one’s fingers could reach, watching a movie or televised programs...not having to anything. These little day dreams we have whilst in the middle of a busy day don’t always seem impossible, at least not for a nine to five employee. For an idol like Hanbin...those very dreams where just that; a dream. 

Idols were always working. Their schedules were filled from AM to PM with the necessary duties to be successful. Spending time with friends, even making friends, was difficult. The longer an idol has been in the industry the more leeway is granted. iKON hasn’t hit the quantity of years required to gain those certain privileges and having his name signed with a company as strict as YG was definitely not helping. Lounging around was a holiday in their world and thankfully Christmas came early today. His present? None other than quality time with face of Twice...Chou Tzuyu.

“Once there was a Princess...”             "Was the princess, you?”                         “And she fell in love.”                                     "Was it hard to do?”                                                 “It was very easy!”

Snow White was a cute cartoon and just so happened to be the only thing worth watching at the moment. It wouldn’t have been Hanbin’s first choice out of the selection of Disney Princess movies. Although he rarely had the opportunity to spend much time with her, his little sister was in her ‘i want to be a princess’ phase. Therefore, all Hanbin could think of was wishing Hanbyul was there to enjoy the show with them. 

“How come all girls want to grow up to be a princess? All they do is chase after a Prince and then they end up marrying them and staying in the castle with the baby.”

“No,” Harlowe answered quickly, barely giving Hanbin the opportunity to get his complete sentence out. She was in one of her (rather frequent) moods where all she wanted to do was ignore the world and hyper-fixate on whatever her challenge was at the moment. For now, it was her next release– something that was nothing more than hopeful ambition in her head as she tried to get all her ducks in a row before approaching her CEO about it. From experience, she knew better than to think that her company would translate her ideas into something she took pride in, but this was yet another example of her expecting the worst from her new label before even giving them the chance to provide their best. So she wrote, and wrote, and rewrote, cursed, gave up and started over, ready to have as many songs prepared to show as possible.  “I’m just writing. Trying to write.” And failing pretty miserably at it, by her standards. Looking over the scribbles of Hangul and English lyrics, she scratched the last line out before glancing up at the male.  “If you need me to shut up, you can say so. I’ll even look past the informal speech for the time being.” 

It was her slight mumbling that had gotten his initial attention. The phrases, though barely audible, seemed like she was speaking to someone. It was clear after that he misunderstood what was happening. He wanted to be safe and not seem rude for not answering. Being safe only left him with slight embarrassment for interrupting something that had nothing to do with him. 

Hanbin’s attention was soon caught yet again, ears perking up at the sound of “writing”. Writing was definitely in his neck of the woods. 

With the personality of a shy child, especially around women, he tossed and turned with the idea of offering his lyrical experience. He knew little of the girl next to him, only the fact that she was in the same industry and he was. That’s about as far as his knowledge went. Who knew if she was even aware of who he was? Being apart of such a respected and well-known company such as YG you’d think she would be able to place name to his face as one of the newest idols, but he didn’t want to seem cocky off the bat and assume. 

“I’m B.I...” His introduction was a little awkward, his smile curved subtly on his lips as he bowed his head politely. It looked more like a small nod, if we’re being honest. “...I write my own songs and for iKON...my group, iKON.” Why was this always so difficult? She’s just another human. Pull it together. “I can help.”

“Well, nothing is set in stone just yet, but I’m trying my hardest to make it happen. “ She nodded, a touch of disappointment clear in her tone. “I’ll be cutting it close with SM Town in Japan, but I haven’t missed Valley Rock in the last three years. Gallant is coming! And that’s who I really want to see outside of Gorillaz and Radwimps.” Most people were surprised by the eclectic nature of the dancer’s taste in music. Not that she could really blame them. Given her standing in the business, it would be expected that she would enjoy pop music and the like.  Which was true, but to Hyo, there was nothing more fun than discovering new sounds. Her electronics were filled with everything from Beyonce to the most indie of the Japanese rock scene. She loved it all. “Last year the Red Hot Chili Peppers came. It was awesome!”

He’d only heard of the artists that would be attending this year’s Valley Rock Festival. There was talk of the event among various YG artists and he was like a wall flower, peeping an ear from time to time to see what the current talk around the company was. Hanbin was always so busy, whether he as trapped in a studio or sweating off two pounds in the practice room, he had hardly any time to part take in many things older idols had the opportunity to.

“I want to go experience it once.” His head nodded slightly above his neck as the warmth of his palm heated the cool patch of skin on his shoulder. Wherever that breeze was coming from was starting to irritate him. “I think CL Sunbaenim said she was going to go--” He couldn’t be quoted on that as he truly was unsure if that information was true or not. It was more so a guess than anything else. She definitely mentioned the festival once, but nothing about making an appearance. Hanbin knew that YG’s fiercest female was prone to going to events such as the one on topic, especially since she knew some of the artists it was featuring.

“I don’t really listen to many of the artists there...but I want to be able to say I’ve gone.”

    a huffed laugh, playful roll of her eyes accompanied by an amused expression on her features. that’s how it always is, isn’t it? things look incredibly easy until you take the time of your day to try it out. you think you’ll do fantastic because there is NO WAY it’s hard, but once you try you realize that maybe, just maybe, you’re not made to do it; and thus, you fail. lisa has been there a few times every now and then, it started as kid with simple things such as hula hoop; EVERYONE did it outside when the weather allowed it, and most girls (and boys ) she had seen doing it were super good at it, making the ring spin around their body for ten minutes or longer, never letting it touch the ground. the first time she tried it she couldn’t even get it to stay up for a minute. not even longer than 20 seconds. the motivation to continue trying suddenly hit rock bottom and lisa decided to never touch that thing again – that was .. until a neighborhood girl told her she’d teach lisa how to. the next day the practice began and once she knew how to do it and what to look out for it suddenly began to be quite simple. sure to say lisa joined the children you saw out and about with their hula hoop rings!

   back to the topic. there’s a nod given now, soft hum emitting from her throat. ❛ what did you try to do, hanbin oppa? maybe i’m actually good at it and willing to teach you! ❜ maybe she was super lucky and the thing in question happens to be nothing else than HULA HOOP! we can all dream.  ❛ if it’s cutting onions you may want to hit up jennie unnie, though. ❜

Lips were parted, ready to explain that of what he was speaking about until the mention of her fellow member and onions had deterred his attention.

 “Onions?” He paused. “Jennie?” Hanbin may not always be up to date with the industry. He paid attention to comebacks, to concerts of certain idols...to some general news, but he was often so caught up in the activities and schedules of iKON to have an insight on girl groups. You’d think he’d know a little more about Black Pink seeing as they’re from the same company and their debuts weren’t too far apart. 

“Is Jennie good at cutting onions?” His interest was peeked. He’d practically forgotten about his earlier whining--...or sorry, correction, his earlier introduction for the on-coming whining. Perhaps it was a good thing. This way Lisa wouldn’t have to endure what was usually iKON’s burden. 

In fact, he’d been trying to pick out gifts for both his mother and his little sister. His Father seemed to be easy to purchase for. They had similar tastes. Father like Son...so the tattoo on his hip read, and it was true in this case. Normally he would stick to something simple as a present, something he knew his Mother and Sister would at least appreciate. This year he wanted to get something more...extravagant? An item, or items, that would stand out among the rest. A gift that they’d speak of often and brag to their crowd of acquaintances. 

His creativity must be lacking. There is no way spoiling a loved one should be so hard.

              amalie stares; simply because she happens to be quite amused, unable to really form a sentence as she tries her ABSOLUTE hardest to not break into laughter. of course, some people didn’t know their limit, and even if they know it they go overboard – happens to the best of us!finally a soft chain of laughter escapes through rosy lips, arms crossing above her chest.

    “  i invited you. you said you can’t come because you’re an idol and going to some ballerina’s house party wouldn’t be good, especially not if you happen to be seen. you came anyway – in case you forgot THAT too. and then you drank a little über den durst .. over the limit. you fell asleep in my bed and i had to sleep on the couch, if .. that would’ve happened. i slept in the bathtub. you had fun, though! i assure you! ”  she speaks with an all too happy tone, nod accompanying her small speech every now and then. she had no idea what time it was, nor how long she had been awake, judging from her own feel of time it couldn’t have been more than thirty minutes – waking him was merely an accident, trying to get to her wardrobe to get new clothes.

         “  if you want to shower first you can go; if you want painkillers .. they’re in the bathroom, somewhere. if i have any. water? i can bring you some! ” 

Now it’s time to panic. 

He shouldn’t have went to the party. He was a leader of a successful and young idol-group under label with a very strict CEO, very strict. He had a responsibility, there was no time to play around...not like this at least. Not only was attending the party a bad idea in the first place but not remembering it just made everything a whole lot worse, not to mention the headache pounding away as if it were instant karma. 

The way she acted was strange, suspicious even. It did not help the anxiety working up his nerves. She seemed like she was concealing information from him. Did he even want to know? Of course he does, he needs to know. What if someone took a video of him? What if he said something that could turn into a scandal? Oh, his CEO would have his head if he found out. 

“Ah...” His legs hung off the edge of the bed in which he fell asleep in. He didn’t exactly feel comfortable showering in her house. Though, it may be a good idea. He looked as rough as he felt, strands of hair pointing in all directions. “...I don’t remember anything. I don’t even remember getting here.” Fingers comb through his hair, hoping to tidy it up somehow.

Ask her. Ask her. “I didn’t do anything....stupid, right?” Stupid could be anything at this point. Besides the obvious of getting so loaded he managed to black out, which was quite possibly the stupidest thing he had done in the past 24 hours, he needed assurance that there was nothing else. But by her actions...he doubted his hope of that were about to be crushed.
