🌪️ - a starter where our muses are trapped together during a storm. / gabriel and dick / @ofnyctophilia
not much could get in the way of dick doing what he needed to do, but he wasn’t a reckless person who would get himself killed. he understood his limits, pushed them when he could, and pulled back when he needed to. he knew he wouldn’t be any help to anyone if he was hurt or dead. the storm that rolled in was unexpected, harsh as it rattled the windows and challenged their strength. it was hurricane worthy without the hurricane attached, forcing both gabriel and dick to seek shelter inside. the electricity threatened to die out, lights coming and going. he hated that he was stuck in one place, but he wasn’t alone — for better or for worse. “we should probably stay back from the windows. i don’t know how long this will go on for, but we’ll be doing our part by staying safe too,” he instructed, used to taking up the mantle even if it wasn’t called for. “it will probably be better for us to go one of the rooms that don’t have any windows if you want to move with me.” a suggestion. it was hard to judge how well the other would take to listening to someone else.
