I think there's a name for that sort of immediate reaction. *cough*pessimist*cough*

I'm just kidding. You're right. My tax rate on my income is between 20% and 30%, and that certainly does deflate the motivation to go out, kill something and bring it home. 

It's interesting to me that the government preaches that we should tax things like alcohol and cigarettes because it will discourage drinking and smoking. If taxes discourage people from doing what you tax, who in the world thought it would be a good idea to tax income?? 

Conspiracy alert: Maybe they don't want us making much money!
