Summary: Being a part of the Sidemen was great cause it meant going to loads of different places, meeting loads of people and doing some great things- but sometimes those ‘great things’ lead to awkward situations.

Author’s Note: This is a piece of shit but I thought it would be a good one to start with- nothing to hard yet nothing to boring(I hope). Also I know having 0 followers yet getting a request makes no sense but it’s because my friend sent me it to post on Wattpad but I really want to do different style imagines on here so I thought I’d use this to start :)

Oh my God we’re at the outside” JJ said waving his arms around lazily as the sun beamed down and caused everyone to squint as they tried to make out the shape of the camera man. “Now time for another challenge this challenge is called...water.” Everyone rolled their eyes and laughed playfully at the oringinality of the title, clapping along sarcastically “nice one JJ, you really put your thinking cap on for that huh?” Josh joked looking at him, JJ waved his arm behind him shrugging him off continuing the video “who can hold their breath the longest-” “you’re really big. Like- you’re wide.” Simon said from behind him dodging from side to side causing Ethan to burst into a short giggle.

“So who have we picked guys? Oh look y/n’s already in the pool. Who’ve you guys pic- oh look Derek’s already in the pool.” JJ said as Derek waved to the cameraman who then turned to Y/n in the pool. “I hate you guys! It’s freezing in here!” She yelled hugging herself tightly “plus I suck at holding my breath so I don’t know why I’m here- I could be warm right now.” “You’re so bad at holding your breath cause all you do is talk” “button it Minter.” She retaliated through a chattery smirk. “There’s two rounds- so the first round you have to do it normally and then after that it’s sabotage, so you can do whatever you want. You can punch, kick, bite-” “kiss!- I mean” Ryan yelled jokingly over the top earning laughs and ‘yeah’s!’ in approval. “I mean...yeah if you wanna do that yeah- steal people’s air.” JJ shrugged looking at the two people in the pool.

“Punch me in the boobs, and I swear I’ll cut your dick off.” Y/n said seriously turning to Derek who nodded in return “punch me in the dick and I’ll cut your boobs off” he replied earning a laugh and a shake of y/n’s head. “Kiss her man then even if you do get your dick off there’s some positive!” Greg yelled clapping his hand on Will’s back who nodded in agreement “kiss her mannn”. Derek chuckled nervously as his team began to join in, as did some of the sidemen all mentioning about the best way to kiss y/n underwater without any dick-cutting getting involved. “Can we get on with it?” Simon said abruptly rubbing his hands together as if doing so would speed things up “why? You in a rush man?” Ethan joked before Simon snapped back at him “I’m just sweating, Okay? It’s fucking hot and I wanna get back inside.”

“Okay. 3, 3, 2, 2, 1 Go!” Then Derek and Y/n were underwater, their hands slowly moving keeping themselves underwater as they held their breath tightly trying not to focus on anything else. Eventually Derek couldn’t do it anymore, he’d lost some air when he first went under so had to give in- y/n was still going strong before the underwater camera prodded her lightly and she shot up shaking any excess water off of her and pushing her hair back out of her eyes “did I win?” She asked in disbelief earning nods and smiles.

“Alright round 2!” “Kiss her!” Will yelled earning chuckles from all, all but Simon who was unbeknownst to everyone else silently plotting Derek’s murder if he did so. “Alright, alright. Ready you two?” To which they nodded and y/n stuck her hand out for Derek to shake “good luck!” She smiled and he returned it before they took a deep breath and plunged underwater. Immeadiately Y/n was darting round the pool- pushing off walls and the floor as Derek trailed after her in a vain attempt to catch up. The boys on land were cheering and ‘ooh’ing as they watched the underwater race unfold until Derek’s hand latched onto Y/n’s ankle and dragged her backwards underneath him.

Her mouth opened in shock and she watched as bubbles of her precious air escaped. Everything seemed to slow down as Derek‘s hands rested on her hips and pulled her closer kissing her, y/n’s eyes were wide open closing for a second or two as they kissed and he shared air before he pulled back- only a millimetre or two and she shot out from underneath him. She vaguely saw him swim to the surface and she did the same, breaching the surface- the boy’s “oh my god!”’s and “oooo! Get it!”’s filled their ears.

She coughed up the water she’d taken in as JJ yelled that she won by a mere second. “You alright?” Derek asked resting a hand on her shoulder as he watched her cough, she nodded looking over at him “totally- you only made me loose all my air!” She joked ignoring what he probably actually meant as she poorly tried to drown out the boys; but Greg yelled over the top of her “Derek, my man! You actually did it!”. Simon was sat there looking at them both, teeth gritted and very angry but hiding it well as he just clapped so it didn’t look weird. He watched as Derek grabbed Y/n by the waist and lifted her onto the edge of the pool so she could get out before he hoisted himself up as they were both wrapped in towels and shook each others hands. Everyone headed back inside leaving Y/n alone by the pool as she wanted to dry off before being in the video so she missed the next round, Simon eventually appeared out the house with her clothes in hand.

“Here. They thought these might be helpful- sorry your boyfriend couldn’t deliver them” he grumbled at her putting the clothes next to her “boyfriend? Simon, wha- what’re you on about?” She asked puzzled furrowing her eyebrows up at him as he groaned and looked down at her “Derek.” He replied bluntly “Derek and I aren’t dating?” Y/n said clueless to what was going on as Simon rolled his eyes and turned to head back inside “yeah, yeah- you have fun making out with Swimboy okay?” He snapped bitterly. She shook her head angrily “what the hell is your problem? He kissed me! It was a joke-” “I know he bloody kissed you, I’ve got a pair of eyes and a brain that keeps replaying you two snogging underwater!” He shouted turning back to face her. “Simon stop being so pathetic. He kissed me, you’ve kissed other girls and I’ve never reacted like this! Just because you see me as a little baby doesn’t mean you get to actually treat me like one!” She retorted grabbing her clothes and standing up in a huff pushing past him slamming their shoulders together.

Her clothes fell to the floor as Simon grabbed her arm “I don’t see you as a baby.” “You’ve got a funny way of showing that, Minter” “oh button it, Y/l/n.” He said annoyed at her use of his last name before he sighed “I just- don’t like seeing him kiss you.” He admitted “why? Believe it or not, people actually find me attractive. Just cause you don’t doesn’t mean you can ban-”.

And then her words were cut off as Simon’s hands were at the side of her face and his lips were on hers. She wrapped her arms round his neck pulling him down and closer, her hands running through his hair and her chest pressed against his. He pulled away looking down at her “I do find you attractive. That’s why I don’t like him kissing you- cause I want to be the only one that’s gets too.” He admitted catching his breath, y/n smiled up at him “Good. I don’t think you’re too bad yourself Si, and neither’s your kissing.” She teased earning a chuckle before the door opened and Ethan called them back inside.

“We can continue this later, when you’re dry and we’re less likely to be interrupted”
