“You’re a few years too late to tell me that,” he said his gaze going to where the bridge from Auradon connected to the Isle. He remembered it like it was yesterday--- it wasn’t, but he remembered when Mal, Evie, and Jay left, and as the days went by, he remembered it in a new light because all he did was remember that he did not matter to them. Maybe he did once to Evie, but Mal and Jay? Hardly. He had no use to them, which only reaffirmed what his mother said about him. “But I blame myself because I was stupid for believing them, not because they forgot, or that I’m forgettable. I blame myself for getting attached, and that is all my fault.”
