Dear Héctor,

I've found something promising! There are correspondences between Montoya and Ms. Bentezza in the Stellographic Archives here in the Capital. I've spent the last five days sifting through, I knew there would be something worth finding! A lot seems to be lost, but there's a story to tell here. Attached to this letter is a scan of a stellograph, I hope you find it interesting.

I'll send more when I can sort through them properly.

I must confess your words have worried me to movement. You will forgive the brevity of this letter, but I have little time or concentration to focus. I do hate these commercial airships. My fellow passengers have refused to respect manners befitting of a public space and as such my mind is beleaguered by noise and constant jostling. I hope when we make stop next I will be able to send this letter on to you so that it may arrive before I do, therefore forewarning you of my presence in Antonia.

I have been speaking to the captain about the old days of commercial flight, and he was able to direct me to an old friend of his, who had several blueprints of older airships. Héctor, I cannot suppress my astonishment at the discovery of the Airship Freedom's Wings in that dossier. He allowed me to take a copy he had made, which I now send on to you for safe keeping.

I have progressed further into the trust of the Bentezza Family. I will spare you the details, but I was able to look through their more private collections, and I came across this portrait. I was able to make a copy of it to send to you and return it without issue. Please do not send any more letters to the Bentezza household, I will send you a more private postal box by which you may get in touch with me.

In copying this photograph, I did not have the time to also copy the back of it, but inscribed on it is "In remembrance of our time in Trés Barranques." It is signed by Mila Bentezza.

I have been incredibly fortuitous in my dealings with the Morena House recently. I have, through the various means you know to be at my disposal, convinced the curator, Dr. Gavin Morena, to give me a guided tour of some of the portraits that they keep in their archive whether for storage or restoration purposes. One such portrait however, caught my eye: a photograph of which I have enclosed within this letter.

It is, of course a very young Montoya. It was apparently gifted to the museum by an anonymous soldier, along with a container that contained some of his personal effects. I have some suspicions as to who this may have been, however I will continue to do my research before making baseless conjectures. Importantly, included in these personal effects seems to have been either his original, or a copy of his citizenship card from when he was a 2nd Leutenant.

It is with deepest pride I send you this letter. My searching around in the annals of not only the Rita Morena house, but in the Alpujarra department of records as well, whose archivist has shown a remarkable willingness to aid me, has granted me some several pieces of historical document that not only prove incredibly useful, but are actual second hand accounts of happenings. I believe the story we are piecing together goes far beyond the obscure biopic we had originally planned.

Included here are the papers of a Captain Alejandre Damery, who I believe I can prove is the Ale briefly described in Montoya's later memoirs. Not only this, but I was able to locate a journal of his that has, written down, some conspiracy between Ms. Bentezza and the Captain. I feel as if I am now at the beginning of their journey and will follow where the trail leads.

I've finished going through those scattered letters you gave me. While there are many interesting pieces of information concerning daily life and military activities that will undoubtedly be useful for our research and for others at the Ozymandian, this letter in particular stuck out to me. It is the last correspondence between Montoya and Malena, and what I believe to be the reason that she chartered Captain Vihammer in the first place. We can finally start piecing together what happened. This is where it all started.

I thank you for your apology; your sudden absence was much felt in Lacuna Station. But I write to you instead from Antonia, where I came to try and pick up a trail of Miss Bentezza. You will recall my irritation back at the Historical Foundation that they only had the commonplace depictions of her in older age, but, here, I have been able to track down the Bentezzas that remain in Antonia, who let me look into their personal archives. I'm pleased to share with you a portrait of the Miss Malena around the time of our study, dug from what seems to be her schooling archives.

I am glad to hear you are alive.

Dearest Héctor,

I'm so very glad we were able to spend those days together in Lacuna Station last week. Not only were they highly productive, but it is always a pleasure to spend time in your company. I must again apologize for leaving in the manner that I did, however I am sure you will forgive me when you learn what I have discovered here in Alpujarra.

I have found in my vacationing the Rita Morena Home, a small but stalwart portrait gallery. Within their collection they had portraits stretching back to the 70s, and I discovered, in a small room on the top floor, amongther, less important figure work, a portrait of a very young Captain Adelaide Vihammer. The museum staff didn't seem to its specific originally as it seems to have been a part of the collection since before it began! I will continue to look into this, but I have attached a photograph of the portrait.
