Not to be a total nerd on main but I've been reading about the nuclear semiotics again and I thought about the black spikes in Tangled: The series and come on those are exactly the spikes nuclear semioticians were talking about!!!!
In the series those spikes were connected to the Moonstone Opal, which CARRIES THE POWER OF DEATH AND DESTRUCTION!!! It does ring a bell, doesn't it?
