More Nova Trivia:

Nova’s boggart takes the form of Vega as she idolized him growing up. Her fear of him is due to her the fear of disappointing him, and being incredibly afraid of not living up to his expectations. She'll never outwardly admit this though. She ends up resolving the boggart via riddikulus by imagining Vega wearing a Chinese lion costume and dancing.

She’s willing to use herself as a test dummy to test new spells and to see if ancient magic will speed up her healing process. As a result, she's developed a couple scars across her skin as a result.

Due to thinking she was a squib, she would steal her siblings textbooks during their holiday breaks and study them regardless of whether or not she could put the coursework into practice. She doesn't believe knowledge should be limited regardless or whether someone is magical or nonmagical.

Nova opts to use a dip pen rather than a quill (habits from being a squib), she thinks pens are more durable and prettier. She's given one to her cousin Mingze, and Sebastian--both of whom have proceeded to brandish them as a 'weapon' and try and swordfight her with it.

Sebastian and Nova have both pushed each into the Black Lake just because it was funny.

Nova thinks Duncan Hobhouse is incredibly annoying.

They're very much a case of, as much as Sebastian annoys Nova--he does ultimately make her a kinder person as he allows her to be herself and teaches her that the world isn't always so cruel. He's her best friend first and her lover second, so regardless of how much she complains she'll always have his back.

2026. Post-Hogwarts, the biggest karma I can give these two is making them have twins that are exactly like them so they have to experience how annoying they were to each other and everyone around them.

Solas Yang Sallow (Older) & Noir Yue Sallow

Solas is bratty, mischievous and most like her dad. Noir is short tempered and a know-it-all, and more like his mom. They are both a pain in the ass.

Don't ask me anything else about them I haven't thought that far ahead. (sweats)

The new uniforms for the HP HBO series was recently revealed and I wanted to draw Nova in it, I thought the waist sash was super super cute but unfortunately this also means Hogwarts has given her another weapon for when Seb ragebaits her one too many times.

2026. I wanted to sketch something rly quick to share a bit of the dynamic between Sebastian and Nova as well as a bit of trivia on her:

The two have a very ragebaiter/ragebaited relationship (Sebastian is the ragebaiter, Nova gets ragebaited)

Their first real interaction outside of the Slytherin dorm was in DADA class when they were paired to duel against each other, and rather than do a basic cast Nova instinctively punched him in the jaw. She was immediately scolded by Professor Hecat.

Nova doesn't understand how Sebastian is the kindest and most considerate person she knows, and simultaneously the most infuriating person to ever exist. Half the time she feels like he annoys her just because her just because he can. (He does and he thinks it's funny because she's patient with literally everyone except him)

To the general public, Nova comes off as stoic and icy often wearing a mask to shield herself due to living in muggle society for so long. It takes her some time to warm up, but when she does she is willing to be a bit more expressive-- normally this side is saved for her fellow housemates though.

She typically is willing to help run errands for others, but only if it benefits her or if she can gain some kind of favor for it. In the words of Sebastian: 'I like having friends who are in my debt'

Nova was initially a hat stall and going to be placed in Ravenclaw, but she requested not to be placed there because she didn't wanted to be in the same house as her brother.

Nova's younger sister, Lyra, refers to Sebastian as 'Mr. Boyfriend'.
