Leia had been feeling restless all afternoon, and she had no idea why. Perhaps it because she hadn’t heard from Erik yet. She was glad for the distraction of helping out her friend.

Nightmares & Memories // Lynx, Sefina and Mia

Lynx sat in a tree, watching the sun set over the lazy little town they grew up in. It was the same as always. The sun still hit the water tower perfectly at exactly 7:08pm during the summer. The neighbor hood dogs still barked every 4 minutes. The ocean waves in the distance still sent shivers down Lynx’s spine. It’s all the same. Same strong maple tree that lives on a cliff that they almost break their arm every time they climb it, but find it all worth is when they’re wrapped in the tree’s safe arms. Same city lights glowing just behind the horizon. Same inky sky slowly spilling in and swallowing the daylight away to be replaced by shining stars. Same black eye and bruised jaw. Same tears streaming down their face. Suddenly the strong tree wasn’t so strong anymore and Lynx was sent tumbling to the inky darkness beneath them. All they can do is scream “nightmare!” before they’re swallowed in the void.
