And the history of the series also makes the stage adaptation extra special? Bancoran and Maraich were one of the earliest canon same-sex couples featured in Japanese anime (which aired in the early 80s) and I ABSOLUTELY ADORE how unapologetic and blunt the author was when writing their love story. There was ZERO QUEER-BAITING BECAUSE THE ENTIRE SERIES IS MADLY HOMO. That is why the actors were NOT SHY about what the show is about, like there was no need for them to dodge the fact that Bancoran and Maraich CONSTANTLY NEED TO FUCK AND I APPRECIATE THAT 4000%.

i feel like it'd be impossible to ever surpass yuuki's big crush on both wada & hideya, BUT. like. i started bawling and sobbing over the tezuryo duet in DL2016... also zaiki gently held furuta as he cried during one of the curtain calls... as for seigaku 9th, it is too early to tell, but, *gestures wildly towards the picture i just posted*

I mean, I’m not gonna lie and say that isn’t a reason I consider Yuuki to be one of the best Ryomas XD

I’m so happy they get a duet in DL2016! S2 kinda ignored pillar time until DL2014 (but S2 was so pillar-y that I didn’t really care, More pillar duets are always a good thing though! I wonder if we’ll get a new one in Rokkakumyu.....)

I was also wondering if you were thinking of translating Kamisato's graduation entry?
