Today we’re excited to announce home video and streaming rights for “Wanna Be the Strongest in the World!” Known as “Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai!” in Japan (or “Sekatsuyo!” for short), this no-holds-barred sexy wrestling series comes to you from the studio behind Ikki Tousen: Dragon Destiny and Queen’s Blade.

Synopsis: The eye-popping world of women’s professional wrestling is sweaty, sadistic, and savagely sexy. Famous Japanese pop idol Sakura Hagiwara is better suited for the dance floor than the wrestling ring, but this ravishing songstress is about to put her body to the ultimate test. When she and fellow idol Elena are assigned to pose as wrestlers for a very special show, a vicious lady brawler by the name of Rio decides to teach the girls a lesson they won’t soon forget. Rio unleashes a flurry of ferocious of attacks on Elena, contorting her divine female form into an array of very naughty positions. Shocked by the blush-inducing beating taken by her friend, Sakura vows to get her heavenly curves ready to rumble and redeem the good name of idols everywhere by becoming a bona fide diva of the pro-wrestling world!

My Favorite Anime of 2013

Well it's that time of the year again. Everyone is doing "top whatever" lists and I thought I should throw my proverbial hat into the ring. Since my otakuism exploded this year (I think I may have watched around 30+ shows this year alone). I thought it would be cool to do a favorites list of anime I've seen this year.

Now this just doesn't apply to anime that came out in 2013, it also applies to shows that I've seen that got home releases this year from Funi, Sentai Filmworks, Viz, etc.; shows I've seen on Netflix, shows on crunchyroll, and even extending to movies. They are also in no particualr order just 10 of my favorites I saw this year, though I may like some shows more than others. Let's get started.

Gargantia

Gargantia was one of the first shows I watched (after SAO) when I started paying for Crunchyroll. I liked the look of the show and the story behind it. It had some amzaing visuals and was easily one of the best looking shows I'vs seen this year.

Oreimo

While I'm not normally into incest romance type shows, I really enjoyed Oreimo for the characters and the comedy. Although I haven't seen the final 3 OVA episdoes, and I don't ever plan to. Still team Kuroneko.\

Black Lagoon 

This show certainly brought out my inner desire for warrant violence while I was watching it. Guns, blood, swearing, and explosions. It was like an american cartoon that just happened to be made in Japan. Add Revy being sexy as all hell and you've got one kick ass show.

Blood-C: The Last Dark

While I watched the show earlier this year as well, the movie was vastly superior and wrapped up all of the plot threads left by the series into a neat little package.

Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine

I was a complete novice to the Lupin series when I started watching this show. The only thing I knew about Lupin was what was told to me or stuff I had read about. That being said I really didn't wanna watch the series until this show came out. The previews just impressed me with it's unique animation style and just how cool everything was (having Michelle Ruff voicing Fujiko didn't hurt either).

Evangelion 1.11 & 2.22

Yeah I'm kind of cheating by putting these movies into one but who cares it's my list. Like most people, I was never really a fan of Evangelion, I never watched the series but hearing almost everyone saying how the first 2/3 were good and the final episode sucked turned me off of it, that and End of Evangelion slightly tramautized me. 

That being said I decided to give the rebuilds a shot out of curiosity and the fact that people said it was dumb down Eva. I'm glad i did, because even though I still have no desire to watch the series proper, I enjoyed these two movies and I will be heading to Austin next month to watch the 3rd one.

Wolf Chldren

I watched this movie either earlier this month or last month and it was easily one of the best desicions I've made anime wise. Everything about this film was beautiful. From the story, the characters, the animation, the themes; everything just clicked in the right places and told a tale about growing up and letting go. Not ashamed to say this movie had me tearing up in places.

Gatchaman Crowds

Like "Fujiko Mine" I was a complete virgin to Gatchaman before this series. In fact the only reason I started watching it was because of its namesake and the fact that I like Sentai shows (Power Rangers kid here). Glad I did because this show was clearly one of the standouts from its season.

Michiko & Hatchin

I don't really know what drew me to this show. Maybe it was the ads Funi posted on their site, maybe it was the fact one of my acquaintances mentioned it to me in passing on twitter one day, hell maybe it was the trailer for the show. Whatever it was it worked because I was hooked on this show from the first episode. The setting was unique, the characters diverse, the music great, everything about Michiko & Hatchin was gold.

Attack on Titan

Yeah, yeah I know. Another person praising AoT for being their favorite anime of the year, or even all time (although my fave is Fairy Tail) but how could you close 2013 by ignoring this show? It was the most hyped show of the year, and for good reason it was amazing. The characters, the animation, the story, the action, the soundtrack, those kick ass openings. You couldn't go anywhere on the internet without this show popping up in some form or fashion.

Honorable Mentions:

These were shows I liked, but didn't necessarily make the cut for favorites.

Outbreak Company

This series certainly surprised me. Great characters, geniuniely funny dialouge, and nice look at otakuism.

A Certain Scientific Railgun

I was watching Railgun around the same time I was watching Index and in comparing them Railgun is the better series to me. Misaka is better lead than Touma to me and I clinged to her supporting cast more than his. Although Railgun did have less action than Index.  

Sekastsuyo

While I initially stuck with it due to my love for pro wrestling, Sekatsuyo did get better as the show go on. While still essentially a cheesecake show, it did start to focus more on the wrestling as the series went on and the final match against Sakura & Elena was really good from a wrestling stand point.

Beyond the Boundary

Great animation, good story, but only decent characters Beyond the Boundary was a good series although the ending seemed a bit forced.
