🐦Sound on for the birds 🐦 Growing up with our family business for the past 25 years, it’s not often that I come across things that I have not seen, but when I do... wow! This almost flawless Selenite Angel is one of those wow moments for me. Selenite is a rather common mineral, with great healing properties. You can find it polished in many shapes and also in crystals specimens. Most commonly, the polished pieces are white like this and come from Morocco. Because the crystals are all unidirectional, it often displays a Cats Eye effect. You can see this effect as I rock the Angel back and forth. Being only a 2 on the hardness scale, and a stone that can be scratch with a fingernail, most pieces have been bruised at some point in their existence. The perfection of this piece and the quality of the carving is really what dropped my jaw.
