They talk about how cool she keeps under stress, how she doesn't snap and always look like she's level. The truth is her body carries everything her demeanor does not. Her shoulders ache from how tight the muscles are pulled. Her hands tingle from the pinched nerve acting up and there's a shooting pain when she turns her head from the knot in her neck. She fights a tension headache most days, and feels the light catch her back.
But she ignores it; long accustomed to her body's cries but more focused on the task ahead. And after all, the mission always comes first.
