26 Self-Sabotage Dialogue Prompts
⭒ "You knew it was good. That's exactly why you ruined it."
⭒ "You didn't lose that. You handed it back before anyone could take it."
⭒ "You're not unlucky. You're scared of what happens if something actually works."
⭒ "You keep testing people until they fail. Then you act surprised they failed."
⭒ "You left before they could. You always leave before they can."
⭒ "Stop calling it bad timing when you were the one who picked the worst moment."
⭒ "You didn't forget. You just didn't do it. And you know the difference."
⭒ "You keep building things just tall enough to watch them fall."
⭒ "You had an excuse ready before you even tried. Doesn't that tell you something?"
⭒ "Stop calling it a bad habit when it's a decision you keep making."
⭒ "You knew exactly what to say to end it. And you said it."
⭒ "You don't trust failure more than success. You trust it more than happiness."
⭒ "You're not procrastinating. You're protecting yourself from finding out what you're actually capable of."
⭒ "You set the whole thing up and then acted like the universe did it."
⭒ "You pushed them away and then rewrote it as them leaving."
⭒ "You're not afraid of failing. You're afraid of succeeding and still feeling empty."
⭒ "You sabotaged it before it could disappoint you. Now it just disappoints you differently."
⭒ "You keep burning bridges and telling yourself you never needed to cross them."
⭒ "You're not self-aware enough to stop. You're self-aware enough to watch yourself do it. That's worse."
⭒ "You didn't run out of time. You ran out of reasons to let yourself have it."
⭒ "You wanted it badly enough to make sure you couldn't have it."
⭒ "Stop acting like you didn't see it coming when you were the one driving."
⭒ "You're not comfortable in the wreckage. You're just more used to it than the alternative."
⭒ "You picked the fight. You just picked it quietly enough that you could call it their fault."
⭒ "Every time something gets close to good, you get close to ending it. That's not a coincidence."
⭒ "You're not broken. You're just more afraid of being whole than you've ever admitted."

TO WHOM I OWE THE BIGGEST APOLOGY
Sometimes I wonder
if my life was supposed to end
in one of the many moments
I barely survived.
Perhaps I am only a ghost
playing a role
in someone else’s story.
The stranger who needed a smile.
The friend who needed someone to stay.
The lover who needed a lesson.
The family that needed one more chair
filled at the table.
Maybe I remained
only so another person
could become who they were meant to be.
And if that is true,
what a strange existence it is
to keep pouring yourself
into lives
while forgetting
to fill your own.
I have spent years
treating my dreams
like they were too fragile
to survive my hands.
Every hope
met with another doubt.
Every beginning
shadowed by the certainty
that I would ruin it
before the world had the chance.
The cruelest fire
was never the one outside of me.
It was the one
I kept feeding within
my belief
that I deserved
to be more
than a supporting character.
An extra
who learned everyone else’s cues
but never received a script
of her own.
The stranger they’ll remember.
The friend they’ll outgrow.
The lover they’ll write about.
And when the credits roll,
my name will pass unnoticed
just another extra
who spent an entire lifetime
making sure everyone else
reached the ending they deserved.
To whom I owe the biggest apology?
No one has been crueler than I’ve been to me.
World’s Finest: Teen Titans #1
Come on, superman
say your stupid line
My Poetic Musings
I would let your blade
Sink into my heart
Only if you promise
To kiss it before you do
And I would let you drown me
On the tainted lies that left your lips
I would let you rip my heart to shreds
With the same old blunt blade
To choke me
with the same hand that fed me
At the altar
Where you vowed to love me-
Till death do us part
Was all you whispered
Yet I didn't dream of you being
The one to pierce my heart
I can still taste your betrayal
On my tongue
Yet I drink the taste of it
And again, I am at the altar
Where we first locked
Our eyes upon
But this time, I can only let you go
like the blood seeping out the wounds
you caused
I live my life
like I’m halfway packed
even when I don’t know where I’m going
Not leaving
just prepared to
I keep versions of myself
on standby
The quieter one
The meaner one
The one who disappears
without making it dramatic
People think I’m indecisive
I think I’m adaptable
I learned early
that staying the same too long
makes people comfortable enough
to stop choosing you
I’ve reinvented myself
out of boredom
out of survival
out of spite
Some days I miss
the person I was before
I learned how to pivot so fast
She stayed longer
She believed explanations
She didn’t treat exits
like muscle memory
I don’t burn bridges
I loosen the bolts
Just in case
I love deeply
but I keep one foot angled toward the door
not because I want to leave
but because I refuse
to be stranded again
My life isn’t chaos
It’s contingency plans
It’s quiet calculations
It’s knowing exactly
how much of myself to give
without bleeding out
And maybe one day
I’ll unpack fully
Maybe I’ll stop living like movement
is the safest personality
But for now
I stay ready
Not to run
Just to survive the moment
when staying stops loving me back
