Late Night Wanderings Sentence Starters
Invitation granted in a moment of carelessness- a moment of weakness, a moment of loneliness. The words were spoken with such reverance, quiet voice disturbing stillness. The lake surface seemed to ripple in accordance to the blond’s words. To Oswald, Jack was talking about himself.
He’s like water. Hadn’t he himself spoken those words years past? How much time had he spent on these thoughts? Too long, too many dark nights, too many lonely hours. Oswald wanted to believe in Jack- wanted to believe in his only friend, wanted to believe in her (not to say she affected how Jack was, more that her faith in Jack should not be misplaced; that was what Oswald wanted to believe).
“What dangers, indeed.” Oswald replied after a long silence, glancing up at the star filled sky- the moon was dark, refusing to look down upon them that eve, as if it too could sense a darkness within the two.
